Description: Theatre Arts 1: This class is for beginner performers.
Mastery Goals and Objectives: Students will learn the introduction to theatre and basic fundamentals of acting concepts and applications, monologue, duet acting, improvisation and theatre games, journal writing, and playwriting.
Prerequisite: None
Credit: 1 – Full Year
Although Theatre Arts 1 is a beginner class, it requires students to be focused, disciplined, and capable of performing in front of their peers. Following all class rules/expectations, and procedures will be expected by the student at all times. There is zero tolerance for not following directions and or horse playing.
Grading Scale: 10%-Homework, 30% - Daily, 60% - Major Projects, Play Reviews, Tests

Ø Attend play productions and write play/movie reviews.
Ø Maintain Satisfactory or Excellent Conduct.

Description: Technical Theatre Course: It is designed to give students an introduction to the technical aspects of theatre production and performance.
Mastery Goals and Objectives: Students in this course will learn the basics in research, theatrical set design and construction, light design, sound design, costuming/wardrobe, and painting. The will learn how to work collaborative, in small groups, on various projects.
Prerequisite: Theatre Arts 1 or relevant experience.
Required Supplies: Work Gloves, Ruler, Pencil, Graphing Paper, Scissors, Map Pencils, Goggles.
Credit: 1 - Fulfills Fine Arts Credit for Graduation Requirement
Technical Theatre, requires students to be focused, disciplined, and capable of operating professional power tools and electrical lighting equipment correctly and with great precision. Following all safety rules, class rules/expectations, and procedures will be expected by the student at all times. There is zero tolerance for not following directions and or horse playing around in the construction workroom, set construction work zone, and in all performance/production areas.
Grading Scale: 10%-Homework, 30% - Daily, 60% - Major Projects, Play Reviews, Tests
