Director of Theatre
Mr. Cliff Alexander earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from the University of Houston. From 1995 to 2000 he worked with leading American theatre directors and producers. Cliff has produced, directed, and performed in over 75 theatrical productions, over an 18 year period. In 1996, he was instrumental in forming a theatre production company that toured the country and headlined celebrity actors, until 2008. He served as Theatre Consultant, Associate Producer and Director for the national stage play tours called, Men Cry in the Dark, and Maintenance Man by I’m Ready Productions, which starred Allen Payne ( House of Payne) and Richard Roundtree (Shaft), Billy Dee Williams, Darius McCrary, and Arnez J, respectively. He's had an extensive career in the film and theatre industries, and have worked with companies such as Paramount, Pepsi, Nike, Dreaworks and HBO to name a few. Over the past 7 years Cliff has continued to produce independent theatre productions, as well as educate secondary students in Aldine ISd and Spring ISD in speech/debate, film making and television production, acting, directing, technical theatre and production. Prior to coming to Davis High School, he was instrumental in turning around and resurrecting the theatre arts department at Westfield High School. From 2008 to 2012, he took the program to new heights and grew it by over 125%. He grew the theatre production class and curriculum from just 3 students, to well over two course sections of students. He grew the technical theatre course from 1 section and 15 students, to a full 7 sections and over 150 students. Under his leadership he grew the overall enrollment and success of the theatre program from just 125 students to over 300 students,while garnering numerous awards and accolades. So far, at Davis, he has doubled the enrollment, participation, and productions from the school's first two years of being open. He believes in the talent and ability that every child possesses and that every child can learn, if they are afforded the opportutnity of receiving a high quality education. Cliff is affiliated with several organizations such as the Screen Actor’s Guild, Charles Gilpin Players (Prairie View A&M University), Encore Theatre, Texas Education Theatre Association, and the University of Houston.

Ms. Roenia Thompson graduated with B.A. Degree in Theatre from Prairie View A&M University.
She is an experienced professional singer, actress, and designer.
She has appeared in numerous productions and has worked with several professional theatre companies.
Roenia has performed in The Wiz, Cinderella, A Lesson Before Dying, Blues in the Night, Caroline or Change.
She has worked with The Ensemble Theatre, Stages Rep. Theatre, The Deluxe Theatre, National Tours, and across the country. Roenia has been in education for 7 years and is eager to continue helping mold young performers of tomorrow.
